First Female Robotic News Anchor in China news agency

China's news agency Xinhua put its first female robotic news anchor. The female robotic anchor mimics human facial expressions.

The artificial intelligence (AI) female robot named "Xin Xiaomeng". Xin Xiaomeng was developed by Xinhua and tech firm Sogou Inc.

Xinhua presented a one-minute video. In that the female robot sported with a short haircut and wore a pink blouse and earrings.

It is modelled after real-life Xinhua news anchor Qu Meng. Xinhua displayed two male Artificial intelligence news anchors.

Last November, During the World Internet Conference in the eastern Chinese town of Wuzhen, AI news anchor Qiu Hao was unveiled.

Now, China is pushing to advance its prowess in Artificial intelligence (AI)  technology from surveillance equipment to self-driving cars.
