On Monday, Firestone Diamonds announced that they found another "monster of a diamond" at Liqhobong Mine in Lesotho.
Liqhobong's diamond mine is located in the Maluti Mountains about 120 kilometers outside the capital Maseru.
"The 72-carat diamond was found together with a 22-carat makeable white stone, followed by an 11-carat fancy light-pink stone. These diamonds will go on sale at the next tender which is scheduled to take place during May 2019", the international diamond mining company said in a statement.
The Firestone Diamonds CEO, Paul Bosma said, "It was a good weekend for us, to recover 72 carat diamond and the two less high quality stones from the northern, lower part of the pit".
Recently, a white 70-carat diamond from the same mine was auctioned for an undisclosed price. Following a 46-carat diamond also found from the Liqhobong mine, which was sold for $1-million (R14.3 million) in December 2018.
