Whatsapp Announced New Privacy Setting For Groups
On Wednesday, WhatsApp announced a new privacy setting for groups. This new privacy setting will help users to decide who can add you to groups.
The users can access this new feature by going to whatsapp settings menu (Account > Privacy > Groups) and in Groups the users will get three options to select from Nobody, My Contacts or Everyone.
If you select the 'Nobody' option, you'll have to approve joining every WhatsApp group to which you're invited. The person inviting you to a group will be asked to send you a private invite through an individual chat.
You have to accept the invite for to join in groups in three days. After three days, the private invite will expire.
If you select 'My Contacts' option, then users you have in your address book can add you to groups. If someone not in your address book attempts to invite you to a group.
If you select 'Everyone' option, then you will not getting the joining invites from the group admins. Anyone can be able to add you directly in groups.
The new privacy settings for whatsapp would be available worldwide in the coming weeks.
