Samsung Galaxy Fold launch event was postponed in China due to screen problems

Samsung scheduled the Samsung Galaxy Fold launch events in Hong Kong and Shanghai on April 23 and 24. Now the launch events have been postponed with no new dates scheduled.

Due to the reports of cracked screens and flickering displays in Galaxy Fold smartphone.

"A few reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the display causing damage to the screen. The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer which is part of the display structure designed to protect the screen from unintended scratches. Removing the protective layer or adding adhesives to the main display may cause damage", Samsung said in a statement.

Further Samsung said in a statement that the Galaxy Fold "needs further improvements that could ensure the best possible user experience".

For considering these issues, Samsung has cancelled and delay the launch event of the Galaxy Fold.

Abbas Ali, managing editor of TechRadar Middle East said, "Considering the ongoing issues with the phone, it is better to wait. It will also give Samsung enough time to address the problem, avoiding any last-minute glitch and disappointing tech enthusiasts. Earlier we were expecting this phone in the UAE by May. But if its US launch is also delayed then our wait could be further stretched"
