ISRO's Chandrayaan-2 is set to be launched in July

ISRO finally released the launch dates of Chandrayaan-2. The second mission to the moon, Chandrayaan-2 will be launched between 9-16 july, 2019.
On Wednesday, the space agency said in a statement that all the modules are getting ready for the Chandrayaan-2 launch during the window of July 9 to July 16. The expected moon landing on September 6.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be launched the 3,290 kg Chandrayaan-2 which has three modules namely - orbiter, lander (Vikram) and rover (Pragyan) using the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk III (GSLV Mk III) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
Last year, ISRO Chairman K Sivan said in a interview, "In its second mission to the moon, India will seek to study the potential for mining a source of waste-free nuclear energy that could be worth trillions of dollars, apart from other scientific experiments.
ISRO also tweeted, "We are ready for one of the most exciting missions, Chandrayaan2. Launch window between July 9-16 & likely Moon-landing on Sept 6, 2019. GSLVMKIII will carry 3 modules of this lunar mission - Orbiter, Lander (Vikram), Rover (Pragyan)".
Chandrayaan-1, India's first Moon mission was launched successfully from Isro's launch facility in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on october 22, 2008.
