On Monday, Indian space agency, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched the electronic intelligence satellite EMISAT along with 28 other satellites.
The satellites were launched aboard the PSLV-C45 from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
It was the 47th mission for ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) Programme and was the 71st launch vehicle mission from Sriharikota.
These 28 satellites were belong to Spain (1), Lithuania (2), Switzerland (1) and the United States (24). These include 20 Flock-4A satellites and 4 Lemur satellites.
Emisat was launched into an altitude of 749 km orbit and weighing about 436 kg while the 28 satellites were launched at an altitude of 504 km orbit and weighing about 220 kg.
ISRO said that all these satellites are being launched under commercial arrangements.
On January 24, India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C44) was launched successfully. PSLV-C44 injected with Microsat-R and Kalamsat-V2 satellites into their designated orbits.
ISRO has started reusing the fourth stage PS4 as an innovated, low-cost, space-friendly test bed for its own microgravity experiments. In this mission, the PS4-fourth stage hosts three payloads.
It carries an ISRO test on Automatic Identification System (AIS) related to tracking ships on sea.
