UP becomes the third state to approved 10% reservation for general category poor people

    On Friday,  the Uttar pradesh government has approved the constitution (124th amendment) bill, 2019 of 10% reservation for general category poor people on state cabinet meeting. The 10% reservation for government jobs and education to economically poor people in general category.

    Recently, the parliament passed this bill to the president. The president also has given his assent to the bill.

    After Gujarat and Jharkhand, UP government has become the third state to approved this bill in state assembly.
