Two days of Tamilnadu Global Investors meet 2019 beguns in chennai

The 2nd edition of Tamilnadu Global Investors meet 2019 beguns in chennai, Nandambakkam trade center with 250 stalls for two days on 23rd and 24th january 2019. Earlier, the 1st edition of Tamilnadu Global Investors meet was held on September 2015 when late J Jayalalitha was a chief minister.

The Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy is the chief guest of GIM 2019. The Union Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam are the guests of honour. On this meet, Nirmala Sitharaman was released the Tamilnadu Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy 2019.

On jan 24, 2019 the Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu will be the chief guest. The Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan, chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy and deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam will be the guests of honour.

The government has allocated nearly Rs 75 crores for this meet. Many countries representatives including Australia, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Britain, France has taken part in this meet.

Around Rs 3 lakhs crore is the expected investment from the MoUs. The aim of this meet is to promote the industrial activity in the State and with a view to provide a focused platform to the business leaders, investors, corporations, policy and opinion makers of India and abroad.

The focused sector of Tamilnadu Global Investors meet 2019 are Aerospace & Defence, Agro & Food Processing, Automobiles & Auto Components, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Electronics & Hardware, Heavy Engineering, IT/ ITeS, Infrastructure, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, Skill Development, textiles, Apparels.
