Reliance Jio has overtaken Bharti Airtel

RelianceJio has overtaken Bharti Airtel to become India's second-largest telco, Timesof India reports. At 30.6 crore, the telco's subscriber base is now only behindVodafone-Idea's 38.7 crore (as of December 2018), and it's likely to grab the top spot sometime this fiscal year. Jio launched two-and-a-half years ago has been growing at breakneck pace on the back of dirt-cheap data plans, free voice calling and subsidised handsets. But experts feel the huge capital investment, estimated at $37 billion so far, may not be sustainable and as which to monetisation is in order
