Red Alert was issued for Chennai airport

A red alert was issued for all airports and airlines across India over security threat in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack and subsequent attack this week.
Today, Red alert warning has been issued to Chennai international airport. So security measures have been tightened in the airport. Visitors entry are also banned in the airport. This ban has been imposed on safety measures.
The vehicles coming to the airport are allowed only after check. Now, the Chennai airport was under surveillance with high security alert.
The passengers and passenger belongings are allowed only after a check.
The officers said that the visitors are not allowed until the next announcement.
The alert was issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). Alert is send to senior police officials of all states, in-charges of security at all airlines and airports and officers of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
