 Piyush goyal may present interim budget on feb 1, 2019

Finance minister Arun jaitley went to united states for regular medical checkup on sunday. During that checkup a rare form of cancer was diagnosed. Due to his health condition if Arun jaitley may not present an interim budget then the Railway minister Piyush goyal may present an interim budget on feb 1, 2019. 

The Parliament session will starts from january 31 and end on february 13. On jan 31, the session will starts with president's address. Then the government will present an interim budget on feb 1.

Last year, Arun jaitley underwent a kidney transplant surgery. On that time, temporarily the finance ministry was given to Piyush goyal as an additional charge. He had handled finance ministry for nearly four month. So in absence of Arun jaitley, Piyush goyal may present an interim budget 2019-20.

This interim budget is very important to this government because this is the last budget to impress people before elections. Then in july the new government will present the budget.
