Pakistan to release IAF pilot Abhinandan tomorrow
Jack Feb 28, 2019 18:46 ISTOn Thursday, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the release of IAF pilot Abhinandan while addressing at the joint session of nation's parliament.
He told in parliament during a joint session, "As a peace gesture we are releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow", news channels have reported.
Yesterday, The Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by Pakistani forces. When his MiG 21 Bison crossed the Line Of Control (LoC) and fell into the pakistan. Then by pakistani army, he was taken in the custody.
Earlier, Pakistani Army claimed to have two IAF pilots in its custody but later revealed that only Wing Commander Abhinandan has been captured.
Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, "The decision to hand over Wing Commander Abhinandan is a great gesture & shouldnt be seen in isolation. It also comes at a time when Pak could've chosen to further escalate an already tensed situation. I see it as a mark of reconciliation . Our leadership should reciprocate".
