PM Modi inaugurates final leg of Chennai Metro Rail

On sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the final leg of Chennai Metro Rail through Video-conferencing in presence of Tamilnadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Governor Banwarilal Purohit and flagged off Chennai Metro's passenger services at Tirupur, Tamilnadu.
PM Modi also laid a foundation stone for modernisation of chennai international airport-phase II, a new integrated terminal building at Trichy airport and 100-bedded ESI hospital in Tirupur.
Also dedicated BPCL Ennore Coastal installation state-of the art and fully automated oil storage and distribution facilities with a project cost of Rs 393 crore and crude oil pipline from chennai port to chennai petroleum corporatiion limited's manali refinery.
