Leopard cub was seized in chennai airport

On Saturday, Customs officials was seized a leopard cub from the passenger in chennai airport. This is first time to seize leopard cub.

Kaha Moideen(45) had brought this leopard cub in his luggage from Thailand. 

After heard muffled cries sound coming from his luggage. Custom officials checked his luggage, they found leopard cub. Leopard Cub was kept inside a plastic basket.

Then forest department officials came there and confirmed that it was a female leopard cub. It is a species of Panthera pardus. It weighed 1.1 kg and 54 cm length. 

The leopard cub and that accused were handed over to Tamilnadu forest department, they said under Wildlife Protection Act 1972, action will be taken against the accused. During the enquiry in airport, the accused said they bought a leopard cub for his friend.
