Indigo’s bid to dominate the skies

Indigo is shopping for planes again, Bloomberg reports, quoting CEORonojoy Dutta. The budget airline is in talks with Airbus to purchase thelong-distance A321neo LR and the yet-to-be-launched A321 XLR for an estimated10 billion dollor. Indigo sees untapped potential for long-haul, trans-continentalflights and is likely to start services between New Delhi and London this year. The carrier has 222 aircraft in its fleet andaspires to be 'one of the biggest, largest, profitable airlines in the world.'
