Earthquake hits Bay of Bengal on Tuesday

On Tuesday morning Earthquake hits Bay of Bengal measuring 4.9 on Richter scale. No Tsunami warning has been issued.

Deputy Director General of Meteorology, IMD, Chennai- S Balachandran said, "The epicenter was in the ocean and obviously there was no damage and as per initial assessments, it lasted for a few seconds. There is no tsunami warning".

Tuesday morning an earthquake hits the Bay of Bengal, the epicenter was 10km below the sea level around 600 km away from east of chennai.

In Twitter, some said they felt mild tremors, some said they did not feel anything.
