DDA is set to launch its new housing scheme

On Monday, The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is set to launch its new housing scheme for 2019. It announced the estimated budget ecpenditure of Rs 6,968 crore for 2019-10, projecting a growth of 23.30% over the revised estimate for 2018-19 of Rs 5,651 crore.
Under the chairmanship of Lt Governor Anil Baijal, The decision was taken during the development body's meeting at Raj Niwas.
Under the new housing scheme, the DDA has announced to construct 10,300 flats. Of these, 960 flats will be for economically weaker section in Narela, 8,383 for Low Income Grop (LIG) in Narela and Vasant Kunj, 579 for Middle Income Group (MIG) in Vasant Kunj and 448 flats for Higher Income Group (HIG) in Vasant Kunj.
A DDA spokesperson said, "These flats are under construction and only the work of water supply and sewage treatment plant is likely to be complated by July 2019".
For the housing scheme the online application will begin by march 2019, the official said.
A Senior DDA official said, "We had both online and offline application processes in our previous schemes but this time all transcations would be online".
